My Mom said that Dad's mother always called Dad ( not sure of spelling ) LOUPE GAROU. We were always told we are IROQUOIS and that Dad was born on a reservation but I don't know which one. Because of the French name and they were of the Catholic Church, I was thinking Mohawk of St. Regis. My Dad's full name was ( he passed away in the 80's ) ELWIN JOSEPH LaFRANCE and my Grandfather, who was full blood, his name JOSEPH NAZARETH LaFRANCE. Both were to have been born on a reservation. I desperately wish to trace so my two Sons and their children will KNOW THEIR HERITAGE. Thank you for any help you can give in this quest for family and you may reply to bobi@localnet.com
